Characterization:
Ralph: Ralph is a Round, Dynamic and Protagonist. He's a Round character because at the beginning of the book Ralph can make a clear picture of what he looks like. He's a strong person and by his personality the rest of the boys think he can take charge and lead the group. Ralph is also a Dynamic character because during the course of the book he first want's things to be all civilized and for everyone to get along. But by the end he becomes savaged. From trying to kill a pig to almost wanting to kill Jack. It was his only hope. He's also a Protagonist because he's basically one of the main characters of this book. He takes control of everything and is voted to be leader of the group. Showing that he has good leadership and that the others think that he will be a good leader even if there aren't no parents around.
Jack: Jack is a Dynamic, Round and Protagonist. He's dynamic because from the beginning to the end of the book he does change dramatically. At the beginning he's pretty civilized he does follow the rules at first but then becomes really savaged. All he wants to do is kill a pig and doesn't matter if letting the rescue fire go out. He then takes control and creates his own group were there he beats some boys for no reason. And he has killed two people. He's Round because you can tell his personality and how he looks. He's pretty ugly from what the author says and his personality is the kind of bad boy that doesn't really care that much. He's also a Protagonist because he is one of the main characters in the book. Making a big difference in the Lord of the Flies by becoming one the most savaged person on the island.
Simon: Simon is a Flat and Static character in the book. He's flat because we don't know much about him. He's basically the nice kid, trying to make things right. He's also a static character because he doesn't change through the whole book. He's just very helpful but at the end he dies from a big mistake that the rest of the boys make. Thinking that he is the beast they beat him until he is died.
Piggy: Piggy is Round and Static character. He's round because at the beginning you can tell what he looks like and his personality. He's a bit fat and wears glasses. He also can't do a lot of things because he has asthma. He's a little like Ralph's assistant and likes to follow him around. Even though Ralph doesn't like that. And Piggy's the closets one that is a bit of an adult. For example when he was on the beach he had found the conch telling Ralph that he should blow in it for the boys to get together and also to have rules. He's also a static character because he really did't change through the whole book. He was with Ralph basically throughout the whole thing. But at the end he dies because of a rock.
