Characteriztion
Robert Peck- Robert is a flat, round, and dynamic character. In the beginning of the book Robert was a flat character because we really didn't no much about him. But then later in the book he became into a round character because we started seeing more of who he really was. He showed that he's friendly, cares about things, and also is very helpful. He;s friendly because he's friends with everyone, he knows everyone and they all know him and he's always nice to them and is respectful. He cares about things because of Pinky, that was basically the only thing he really has ever owned and he took care of her like if she was just like family. He's also helpful because at the beginning it showed that even though it was his neighbors cow he would help no matter what. And even though he was having trouble helping out the Apron he never gave up. He is also a Dynamic Character because after his father died he had to become into a man, and start to take charge and take care of his mom and Aunt Carrie. And also the farm. Form the beginning of the book til the end Robert has changed a lot with all the events he has had to go through.
Haven Peck- Haven is a round and dynamic character. He's a round character because we know he works very hard for his family, he's a strong Shaker and does follow the Shaker Laws, and we also know that he does not have an education because he said that he can't read and he even vote. Also that he can't write out his name and only marks X's for his signature. And also that he is a very good neighbor and a good person is general. He later became a Dynamic Character at the end because he had died and that changed a lot in his families life. Just leaving everything to Robert.
Pinky- Pinky is a flat, static, and dynamic character. She's a flat character because we don't know really anything about her. She's just a pet pig that belongs to Robert and he really loves her a lot and that's about it. She's a static character because during the book she really doesn't change much all she gets is bigger because of all the food Robert keeps feeding her. Last, she is a dynamic character because at the end they have to sacrifice her and kill her so that the family had enough food to make it through the winter. She had a huge impact on Robert because they were bestfriends and when she was gone he got very sad.
Mr.Tanner- Mr.Tanner is a flat, and static character. He's a flat character because all we know is that he is neighbors with the Peck family. And that there friends, also the he would return a fave because when Robert helped Apron give birth to her calf's he gave Robert the pig. He's a;so a static character because during the whole book he really never changed he was always friendly with the family and would always be there and that's basically it.
