Chapter Two
Predictions: 1) Robert is going to be majorly injured after sticking his hand down Apron's throat.
2) Robert might get a gift after helping Apron give birth.
3) Robert's dad will be really mad because he stuck his hand down the cows mouth.
Questions: 1) Why would they open Robert's wound instead of actually sewing it up really quick?
2) Even if Haven washed himself. Why would he still be smelling like death?
3) Why did Mr. Tanner ask if Robert was Haven's son? Even though there neighbors?
Clarifications: This chapter makes more sense then the first one because it starts to show what kind of person Robert is. And what the family is like. And how they are more friendly, and how much they really spend most of their lives with their families.
Connections: 1) I had to get stitches before on my hand from surgery, it's basically like getting sewed.
2) As a little kid I would always wonder off in the store so is someone found me they would take me with them and try to help me find my mom and dad.
Summary: Robert's arm is in so much pain. He was still somewhat out of it but all he could feel is a man carrying him and asking Robert's father if this was his boy. His mother comes to clean him up but then notices that he has something in his hand. They later then open up his wound so it can bleed itself clean, then his mom beings to sew him up. Robert then tells his mom to tell Mr. Tanner that he will find a calf when he heads to his farm. Later that day he begins to say that he is sorry for skipping school. His dad was a little mad. Robert's dad tucks him in but then Robert smells his dad's hand, which smell terrible because his dad kills pigs for a living.
